Who we are

Mossy Digital is an AI search visibility agency. This policy covers the personal information we collect through this website and in the course of providing our services. Mossy Digital is a wholly owned subsidiary of MossyMedia Communications, Inc.

What we collect

• Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, company name and website when you book an audit, submit an enquiry form or request a guide.
• Information about your business. Publicly available data about your website and how AI and search engines respond to queries about your market, gathered so we can prepare an audit.
• Usage data. Standard analytics such as pages visited, referring source, approximate location, browser and device type.

How we use it

We use your information to:

• respond to your enquiry and prepare and deliver your audit,
• provide the services you have engaged us for,
• send the guides, tips and updates you asked to receive,
• improve our website and our services,
• meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to train third party AI models.

Marketing emails

If you opt in to our email list, we send occasional tips and updates. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. Opting out of marketing does not stop the emails we need to send you about work in progress.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers that make our business run: email delivery, calendar and scheduling, analytics, cloud hosting, and accounting. Each of them handles the data on our instructions. We also disclose information where the law requires it.

The free AI visibility checker

The checker asks AI assistants about a business on your behalf, so it works a little differently from the rest of the site.

• What we collect. Your name and company email address when you create an account, the website or question you check, the report the check produces, and a count of recent checks so we can apply fair-use limits.
• Why. To run the check, to email you your password, to prevent abuse, and to follow up about your results. Your details are added to our customer records.
• Who is involved. The website or question is sent to the AI providers that answer it (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, reached through OpenRouter) and to SerpAPI for Google's AI Overviews. Your email address is not sent to them. Emails are delivered by Resend, our customer records run on Syntra, and data is stored with Supabase and served through Vercel.
• Shareable reports. Each report has its own link. Anyone with that link can open it, but reports are hidden from search engines and never listed publicly.
• Deleting it. Ask us at any time and we will delete your account and your reports.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses cookies to keep it working properly and to understand how visitors use it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and client records for as long as we need them for the purpose they were collected, and for as long afterwards as our legal, tax and accounting obligations require. When a record is no longer needed, we delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act, and apply the same rights to visitors from elsewhere. Write to service@mossydigital.ai and we will respond within 30 days.

Security

We use reputable providers and standard safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take the protection of your data seriously and act quickly if something goes wrong.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
